SEO friendly Directory Names

Most search engines index the file name in the YRL, some even use the directory names. Because of this it pays to create your URLs with keywords whenever it is possible. Use at least one Keyword or Key phrase in you URL. This also makes it easer for you users. While an end-user could remember a URL like http://www.myDomainName.com/Toys/ it is unlikely the customer would remember a URL like http://www.MyDomainName.com/Somefilename.asp?CatID=34&Userid=12

1. Be sure and turn off case sensitivity if you’re using apache.
2. Hyphens are interpreted as spaces by the search engines, while underscores are interpreted as null characters.
